RX-93 ν Gundam

Notes

Debut: Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack (Film, 1988)
Description: In UC 0093 (Universal Century) the Earth Federation Londo Bell task force was attempting to counter Neo Zeon forces to curb the possibility of rebellion. To help Londo Bell fight, One Year War hero and ace Newtype pilot Amuro Ray was given a new Gundam-type mobile suit commissioned by Anaheim Electronics and designated the RX-93 ν Gundam (ν is the Greek symbol for "Nu"). The RX-93 featured a Newtype-use psycommu system ("PSYchic COMMUnicator") for remotely controlling the six fin funnels and "psycoframe" technology to enhance the ability of the Newtype pilot to predict the thoughts and movements of enemy pilots. The six fin funnels (or bits) of the RX-93 could also create geometric "beam barrier" formations for the capability of 360 degrees of protection against most weapons fire. The power of the RX-93 ν Gundam was most phenomenally displayed when the famous Amuro Ray and his mobile suit became instrumental in the outcome of the Neo Zeon operation to drop the asteroid base Axis upon Earth.
