VF-1J GBP-1S Armored Valkyrie (Nichimo - Milia) Notes Debut: Fan made; this is NOT an official color design Description: Nichimo is one of the earliest Macross plastic model manufacturers and from 1982 to 1983, they produced a line of small but detailed 1/200 scale kits for Super Dimension Fortress Macross. The model kits were notable for their impressive box covers by Yoshiyuki Takani, one of the legends of Macross painted art work. Some of the Nichimo plastic kits, like those for the VF-1 in GBP-1S Armor configuration, were also notable for creative color schemes not seen anywhere else. As a tribute to these kits, I have created custom colored art of all four Nichimo Armored Valkyries, including transposing official head unit line art for the VF-1A and VF-1S types onto the original GPB-1S Battroid line art drawn by Shoji Kawamori. Shown here is the VF-1J GBP-1S Armored Valkyrie, Milia Fallyna type.
