MS-18E Kämpfer

MS-18E Kämpfer

Debut: Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket, Episode 4 (OVA series, 1989)
Description: The MS-18E Kämpfer (the German word "käempfer" translating to "fighter" or "champion") was a fast assault, hit-and-run mobile suit developed by the Principality of Zeon during the late stages of the One Year War in UC 0079 (Universal Century). The Kämpfer sacrificed armor for speed, using numerous high-fuel-consumption thrusters for fast strikes and quick disengagements. The incredible speed of the MS-18E was a devastating asset when properly used in conjunction with a formidable armament that included giant bazookas, shotguns and panzer fausts as well as a pair of beam sabers and dual head-mounted vulcan guns. In December UC 0079 Zeon operative Mikhail Kaminsky piloted the Kämpfer in a failed attack against the Earth Federation Forces new RX-78NT-1 Gundam G-4 Alex mobile suit.
