Following the mass migration into outer space, the U.N. Government soon controlled many worlds covering many light years. As these colonies became established, civilian travel quickly surpassed military space travel and the need for interplanetary passenger transport became a priority. The Stellar Whale Passenger Boat was an interplanetary liner operating in the 2040's that featured large, spacious interiors and room for hundreds of passengers. Using now commonplace OverTechnology, the Stellar Whale liner featured a gravity control system for surface-to-orbit flight and a space fold system cluster for travel between star systems. On her flight from the planet Eden, music producer Myung Fang Lone traveled in the Stellar Whale flying from the Groombridge 1816 system to Earth in the Sol system some 11.7 light years distance.
