Description and History

The Mk II Monster was phased out of active service in the 2030's. The continued growth and improved manufacturing of variable vehicles meant the destroids, originally built as much simpler and cheaper robotic weapons, became a less attractive alternative. In the tradition of military training, some aging units were deployed as live-fire tests in the performance evaluation tests for the project Super Nova AVF. The YF-19 utilized the FAST Pack Arm Armament Unit in the Super Nova AVF and fired upon a disarmed Mk II Monster target destroid in a live fire exercise conducted at New Edwards Test Flight Center on Eden in 2040.
