As Mayor of City 7, Milia Fallyna Jenius had gained respect as a shrewd and honorable civil servant in addition to her reputation as one of the greatest UNS ace pilots. As second in command of the 37th long-distance colonization fleet, Milia was still a military pilot and retained ownership of a VF-1J variable fighter which she kept in storage aboard the City 7. In 2045, Varauta agents had commandeered City 7 by seizing the fold system. In an operation to re-establish control of City 7, Nekki Basara piloted his VF-19 Kai in an attempt to storm the fold system operations control center but was ineffective against the Varauta interception forces. Fortunately, Milia doned her flight suit once again and successfully attacked the operations center in her VF-1J variable fighter. Though the VF-1J features some small exterior alterations (notably black highlights) the variable fighter is instantly recognizable in the unique red hull colors Milia used during her years in the UN Spacy. Mylene Jenius briefly piloted the fighter during a Varauta attack inside City 7 and Gamlin Kizaki piloted the VF-1J's final combat flight. Gamlin engaged the ancient Protoculture weapon Sivil and the VF-1J Milia was destroyed, a sight quite distressing for Milia watching the battle via remote monitors.
